Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, also known as Ashanti was born on 13 October on the 13th of October, 1980 from Glen Cove New York United States. She is a popular American musician, singer and actress. Ashanti was discovered while an untrained teenager, and later joined Murder Inc. Records in 2002. She also appeared as a guest on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? track and Ja Rule's Always On Time track both of which turned into huge smashes. Her first appearance as a female artist to be in the top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States with Foolish at number one, and The song What's Luv?
